RURAL TEXAS FARMHOUSE

This 1940’s home was gutted and relocated from Hyde Park in Austin, TX to an eight acre plot in the woods outside of Lockhart, TX. The renovation here was an ongoing project that spanned years and included everything from framing and drywall, to building screened in porches, to finding the perfect interior design balance of eclectic maximalism and mid century modern.

This screened in back porch was the perfect quarantine project and added a little refined southern charm to the house.

Every screen door available was incredibly dull or cost a fortune, so I bought a piece of 3/4” plywood and carved out my own with a jigsaw.
