ri-ri-ku alcove wall

Ri-Ri-Ku in Highland Park, Los Angeles was remodeling their boutique space and asked me to create a wall of organically shaped Moroccan inspired alcove shelving to house their dreamy home goods and accessories. I spent several intensive months on this project, so many nights working alone in the space at night that it started to feel like a second home.

Each alcove is different in shape, size, and depth, built into the my 12” deep freestanding 20 foot long wall as part of the framing process. I then spent weeks covering every surface in drywall, and weeks more with layer upon layer of joint compound to smooth everything out.
